Who a third grader is

The third grade (called grade 3 in some regions) is a year of primary education. It is the third school year after kindergarten. Students are usually 8 - 9 years old. I've been a third grade educator for one year and it's been such a pleasurable learning experience.

What An Excursion Is

An excursion is a short trip to a place and back, for pleasure or a purpose. The third graders in my school along with their educators, including yours truly, went on a trip to Olumo rock in Abeokuta, Ogun State, Nigeria on the 22nd of November, 2008. What a day of fun, education and of course, exertion! (I was one of those 'chosen' to go up to the top of the rock without the aid of merciful elevator. But, trust me, I did not climb back down. Would you believe some educators from a certain school actually had the heart to put their pupils barely older than toddlers through the torture of climbing up the rock and back down?!! What a life!) I want you to know all about our time there. I hope my pictures did the job!
